As you are aware, cold and flu season has begun very early this year. It seems to be affecting many, and in some cases, its impact is significant. Will you work with us to help curb the spread of illness at our Awana Club?

Please keep your child home if they have:

· A fever (of 100.4 or higher) or have had a fever in the previous 24 hours. A child should be fever-free without medicine for 24 hours before coming to Awana.

· A bad cough

· A severely sore throat (even without a fever, this can be strep throat)

· Had diarrhea or vomiting within the last 24 hours

· Pink eye

In addition, a child with possible swine flu (those who have been exposed and could possibly have H1N1) should stay home for 10 days after the onset of symptoms, according to the CDC.
